When selecting a layer and dragging a corner handle with the shift (or alt-shift) key pressed, the resize proportion isn't constrained. This started with this most recent update.

I had 20.0.1 till now. When I wanted to check that you ask and launched Ps it made my computer got stuck. That was happening from the day I installed version 20. Once - few times a day. Now to be sure whether that is real cause I uninstalled it and finally all is okey! I do not know why noone reported it, but my computer doesn't accept latest Ps even when I don't use it, since from time to time in random situations entire system is getting frozen.

Can someone tell me if the Constrain Button on the toolbar in PS cc 20.0.1 is fixed with the update?
I won't be installing the new version until all the bugs have been fixed.

Cheers!

I have no idea why Adobe what to change their user experiences and behavior. I used PS for 10 years now I made mistakes every time while using the Free Transform in 2019.

I've been using Photoshop since it first came out. Using the Shift key to constrain proportions is one of the cornerstone key commands of the application. To arbitrarily switch to the opposite action, after nearly 3 decades, is unnecessary, illogical and completely tone-deaf to the core, long-time, loyal users.

I've lost a lot of billable work time to go back and recheck sizing of graphics, because of Adobe's shift to NOT constrain scaling update. So who may I send my invoice to at Adobe?

Change it back! I'm not able to justify this ridiculous hinderance of my workflow and I don't have time to get our IT department's approval to mess with the code of the Photoshop application.

We're mad. We're frustrated. We're YOUR customers!

Each recreated feature should have option to revert.

Mark - Fully agree. There are many times where you WANT to move your cursor farther away from the corner to make very minute changes, and now if you go too far, bam, you've committed the transform. So far I have yet to see, although I may have missed it, any kind of mea culpa from Adobe saying that they indeed, did eff it up and will have a fix shortly. In the meantime, the text file works fine but does not increase the safe zone around the frame during a (not so) Free Transform.

OMG - WTF - Adobe... what were you thinking??? Thanks a million - I thought I was loosing my mind - I have used Photoshop since inception. Can't change some of those things.

We are like ants that humans beyond our world can't understand their needs. They try to "help" by bulding tunels, bridges and everything our community could grow up but since they can not live in our bodies - everything they do is more about what they guess that is better for us. Other bad side of it is we are during neverending experiment closed by its hermetic frames with no chance to say understable word. When a group by chance will get out they made enhacements to detain us and prevent from another escaping attempt. When they are getting bored or think we can't feel good with stagnancy we have to adapt to new challenges by stepping backward and start over that we were satisfied with. In worst case they make fun observation how we behave when they ruin our well built constructions.
