I've just installed Photoshop v24.2 for Windows (x64) and found this 500MB file in the program directory?

What is it?

It wasn't in the previous versions?

The file is - Desktop.map

Thank you for the post @FrankWhittleDue to an installation error we installed an extra 500MB file along with Photoshop called “desktop.map”. This file is not necessary for Photoshop to run, feel free to remove/delete this file.

Something that didn't come from Adobe.

Ah I was looking in the Windows Program Files. Open it with Notepad++, its just text. Looks like a list of memory locations.
