Greetings Adobe.
1. It is just as the title suggests it.
Photoshop CC 2020's vector and raster engines are performing way slower than many years ago and each new year it it continue to decrease.
If you need to, work at least two years to implement The Vulkan lib as it seems to performs faster and better than OpenGL.
But, yeah, in general, the app's performance has decreased over the years.

I just upgraded to a i7 10700, admittedly I'm working on a big file: 4000x3000 pixels still I would have thought the vectors performance would improve with this new processor, I have seen improvements on my brush lag performance (not as much as I would have liked but its noticeable faster) but the vectors are still incredibly slow.

I have arrived to the conclusion that I could have i9 10900 and Titan Nvidia card and Photshop would still lag, its not the hardware, its the software that is not optimized.

Right now I have gtx 1080, its not the greatest card ever, but its not the slowest in the market either, still with a 10th gen processor and this card I'm surprised Photshop still has so much problems in terms of overall speed.

Agreed. Every release in the last year or so seems to make graphics in general slower. On my 2020 mac mini every action in PS shows the multicolored spinning wheel.
