P: Vector Mask selection bug

You can no longer select the vector mask thumbnail in Photoshop CC after it has been disabled on the layer. In previous versions of Photoshop, I was able to click on the vector mask thumbnail after it has been disabled and edit what I want to exclude from the vector mask or edit the paths that I created.

Yeah, that's what I did. Thanks. I've reverted back to 2001 and I'm making path layers.

I chatted with an Adobe "tech" and it was painfully fruitless. He actually made me second guess myself and I thought I was nuts for a minute. He said, "If you disable the Vector Mask, you can no longer edit it". – That's when I left the chat.

It's a nuisance, but the workaround is to lower the mask density to 0 in the Properties panel, instead of disabling it in the Layers panel.

That's a pretty big oversight, if you ask me and frustrating as crap.

The issue where the vector mask can not be edited while it is deactivated has not be resolved in the latest Photoshop CC update 14.2.2.

Is it possible to have an update on the progress of this?

This issue has not been rectified in 14.2.1 update that was recently updated.
Very upset that this has still not been looked at, the only workaround is to use CS6.
Please update on the whereabouts of this fix.

agree. When the Vector mask is temporarily disabled by pressing Shift - Click the Thumbnail (Mac), one can no longer see it or edit it. This is not intuitive. It worked much better in previous versions IMHO.

Which specific version are you using?
Have you installed the 14.2 update?
