P: Way to keep file/undo menu bar on-screen at all times?

Something I have yet to figure out is a way to keep the top bar with all the technical options (Filename and associated dropdowns, save button, undo/redo buttons, download/share..that menu bar specifically) stay on-screen permanently. Anytime i want to find it i have to ctrl+/ to open the search bar, then search for undo and bring it up that way. Is there not a way to just keep it there permanently? I use undo/redo and file versions much more often than any other menu that pops up in that place. I'm used to redo being ctrl+y instead of shift+z, and I frequently mess up the ability to even redo anymore with this mis-type, and have lost a lot of progress because of it (which is why I use file versions quite often).

Also, a way to change controls and see when/if the document auto-saves would be nice.

I'm not sure if this helps, but I was using the program on a desktop computer a few days ago, and oddly enough the bar stayed put the whole time. Maybe this could be an issue specific to laptops?

Thank you for the reply @Rhenby, What is your OS version of Windows and browser OS you are using? Do you have an Adobe account you are logged into when using Ps on the web? What is your browsers zoom set to? Could you share a screenrecording of what you see and your steps to get the bar to show up that you list above?

Happy to figure this out with you, appreciate your patience.

Thank you,

Cory

Hi @Rhenby thank you for the question. Would it be possible for you to share a screenshot of what exactly you want to see always and we can see if it is possible.  For the second question, what would you like to see when Ps on web autosaves so that you would be aware of it?

Thank you,

Cory

Hello @CShubert , thank you for the quick reply! Attached is an image of the menu in question.

For autosaving, I recommend something akin to Google Docs, which has the text "saving document..." when saving, and "document saved to X location" when done saving, also a "document last edited/saved at XX:XX time" would be helpful. It could be placed to the left of the little cloud in the menu mentioned here, so it is in the general area of the saved versions but also readily visible (especially since there is a lot of blank space on that side).

Hi @Rhenby,

Trying to reproduce this state where the top bar is missing, and having a bit of trouble getting there.

A few questions for you:

Are you using Edge or Chrome browser?

What screen resolution are you working at?

Do you know what % your browser is zoomed to? (click the magnifying glass in the top right)

I find if I zoom into something pretty big, like 500%, some of the menu options on the right aren't visible, so perhaps zooming out might be in order here?

Perhaps also providing a screenshot of the full browser window and all of Ps web's interface could provide some clues as well.

Get back with more details when you can,

Thank you!

Pete
