P: Why grey color mode are disabled in Photoshop Web?

Currently the only fully supported color mode in Web is RGB. Grey Scale and a few other types could be opened, and edited, but because the background engine didn't recognize the color type, there was potential to have the document corrupted. Web implemented a change that flagged these unsupported color modes. That is what you are currently seeing. We are working on another solution.
