P: (Win/macOS) PS 25.11 Mixer brush swatch in brush options is no longer transparent

I updated to PS version 25.11 today. When I now use the mixer brush, the normally transparent swatch in the options bar is no longer transparent, even when the brush is set to clean. It shows colors and patterns from the image which it never did before. I uses the mixer brush to mix paint already on the canvas and not adding color during mixer brush use. This is a new thing. The brush appears to be working correctly but not sure why the box is showing color and pixels. I am on an iMac 2019 running Sonoma 14.5.

When I open PS 2023, the problem does not occur.

Installing Photoshop 26 has resolved the problem for me.

There's some kind of bug on my Mixer Brush, the preview icon doesn't load correctly. I've tried to reinstall Photoshop, but nothing seams to work so far. Anyone knows what to do?

@peggphoto , we don't comment on unreleased software or timing, but history has shown that Adobe generally does do releases just before Adobe Max, and this year Adobe Max will happen on Oct 14.

In addition to this corrupted icon for the mixer brush color chosen in the brush settings at top menu....i cannot get my original or any other reset shortcut to turn paint off and on with the shortcut....very time consuming when painting and doing artwork to have to navigate to top and click/unclick paint off and on when you want only to use blending features! hope this is also fixed in the fall 2024 photoshop update coming up? I prefer not to mess with the BETA. versions...sure hope this feature gets fixed too??!!!

Hi,

Im currently doing a course and we are working with mixer brushed to fill a path. i created my mixer brush and it works to paint. however when i try to apply this mixer brush colours to a stroke path it end up pasting pictures on the path.
