P: Zooming gets program error and glitches when in cropping mode

When the cropping preview is active and I zoom (cmd+ ; cmd- ; cmd 1; cmd 0), I get the following alert:

"Could not complete the Zoom (...) command because of a program error."

...and the preview glitches (screenshot below).

    This is a known issue, and is being worked on.

    This occurs on a PC, as well, with Windows 7 x64. It also occurs whether or not graphics acceleration is turned on.

    I was trying to crop a screenshot and while in the crop mode I marked a rectangle and pressed CTRL + to zoom in. an error message popped cant zoom in due to error.
    same thing when using CTRL -
