Photoshop 2025 Update Not Compatible with Logitech MX Master 3

Adobe just did an update for Photoshop. I downloaded and installed. And all of a sudden my Logitech MX Master 3 mouse lost its thumbwheel functionality to change brush size. That is a function that MANY creatives use on their mice. I don't understand how they could get rid of that. I have now reverted back to 2024 and it works again. Please fix. And I will start using PS 2025. Thanks.

NEWS

I have heard nothing furrther from Logitech about this issue.

However I downloaded and reinstalled LogiOptions+ from Logitech website today, 7th Nov 2024.

Photoshop 2025 functionality has returned.

NB Brush Size function remains very sketchy as it was before.

Windows 11

I can confirm that there are no app specific settings available for Photoshop 2025 or Bridge 2025 in LogiOptions+ software interface. There most certainly were in the 2024 versions.

Quote from Logitech:

"We're aware of this issue with the latest version of Adobe Photoshop and our team is actively working on a fix. This issue will be resolved in the next Options+ update. Truly sorry for the inconvenience this may have cause and appreciate your understanding on this."

Are you guys using Options, or Options +? I know you are supposed to use Options + with the MX Master 3, but it never worked properly for me, so I uninstalled and went back to Options, after which everything has worked for me.  This was day one with this mouse.  I am using Windows 11.  I suspect that if I hit that Upgrade to Options + it would break again.

I also have G-Hub installed in case that affects anything

Same problem here.

I see I'm not the only one with this issue. Hope Logitech fixes the problem as the ability to change brush size is a huge time saver.

I'm having the same issue. It seems like the last few Ps updates don't jive with Logi. Last update I added the plug-in and got it working. With 2025 update, nothing seems to work. This adds so much time to my workflow. Including the time I'm spending trying to find a fix. Is this the future?

Hi,

I'm having the same problem. This is really annoying... Did you revert back to using PS 24 or just in the application app in Logitech menu? I can't seem to be able to select that in the drop down menu.

Thank you. Yes. I had the options specifically selected for PS 2025. But thumbwheel brush size wasn't in the dropdown list. When I switched back to 2024, it was there in the dropdown list.

I'm guessing that you have Options set to specific applications like below.  Mine was also broken, but the list of apps in my screenshot are what I currently have open.

I selected Photoshop and used the drop downs to reassign the button functions (the foreward and back buttons make one pixel brush size increments) and all is fine.  To make totally sure, I closed Options and restarted Photoshop, and it still works.

BTW We are supposed to use Options + with the MX Master 3, but when I tried it way back, it all went pear shaped, so I went back to the non pluss version.

I think that's a problem with the mouse software/driver. Please contact the Logitech support.
