Photoshop 2026 closes automatically after about 40 seconds
After several months of correct operation, the program began to spontaneously close. Photoshop 2026 (versions 27.3.1.4 and others), the application consistently shuts down about 40 seconds after launch. This happens regardless of user activity: opening a document, navigating settings, or staying on the Home Screen. The issue reproduces on different computers with different hardware, with updated GPU drivers and reset Photoshop preferences.
Steps to Reproduce:
-
Launch Photoshop 2026 (version 27.3.1.4).
-
Wait approximately 40 seconds.
- The application closes automatically without warning.

Additional Information:
The error reproduces on two different computers with different hardware.
GPU drivers are up to date.
Photoshop preferences have been reset.
Only one third‑party extension (AnimDessin2) is installed, but disabling plugins does not affect the issue.
No CrashReport or ErrorLog files are generated by Photoshop; only Event Viewer entries are available.
The crash is linked to Exception Code 0xc00000fd (Stack Overflow). The failure occurs inside the main process Photoshop.exe, suggesting a core application bug rather than a plugin or hardware issue.
