Photoshop 27.11.0 won't print on a Mac running Tahoe 26.6.2 (25G83)

An older version of Photoshop suddenly stopped printing to any output; printer, PDF, etc. Nothing had changed on the Mac, no new HW or updates. The print dialog allows me to adjust settings as does the Print Settings (see images below). However, once you press “Print” the job just disappears and never spawns the Print Center.

I have followed all known solutions for this recurring bug, from the holding spacebar and hovering over File>Print to reinstalling the printer drivers and nothing works. I can print from every other app I use including Adobe Illustrator.

Repaired the Mac using Onyx and Clean My Mac and rebooted multiple times but still no solution to this issue.

@matthew_gallagher the fact that the print driver is no longer supported and the last known compatibility is OS 10.15 from 2019 - upgrading to PS 27.x may have broken compatibility.

Print services from Adobe (and other apps) is not universal. So as you noted PS may have broken, but others still work. Photoshop does use shared system resources so even if you have an older version installed, installing a newer version could have broken both.

We see this a lot with users with multiple versions of InDesign - installing an update has unintended consequences with older existing versions. The issue now is you cannot reinstall the older versions past last year.

I was in a few versions older when it stopped working. I upgraded in hopes of it providing a fix.

Have you tried updating your print drivers? What Mac OS are you currently running? I know you posted you reinstalled but did you install the same or newer?

Did a quick check and the last known Mac driver was for Mac OS 10.15.x in 2019.

Yep, reinstalled, updated, reset, pretty much everything.

I’m assuming you have tried with the newest version as well, can you confirm?
Does it work properly with any other Adobe software? (Say - Illustrator, Acrobat or InDesign)
    Is it only Photoshop?

Yes, that is in the post above. Older version and newest PS doesn’t print, Illustrator can print fine.
