Issue summary:
Creative Cloud Libraries panel is non-functional in Photoshop 27.8.0. Library assets are visible, but all Library commands and interactions do nothing. Rolling back to Photoshop 27.7 restores full functionality.

Product and version:
Adobe Photoshop 27.8.0 (20260610.r.13, x64)

Operating system:
Windows 10 Pro 64-bit (Version 10.0.19045.6456)

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Launch Photoshop 27.8.0 on Windows 10.
  2. Open Window > Libraries.
  3. Select a Creative Cloud Library containing color swatches (or other assets).
  4. Create or select a shape layer or text layer.
  5. Click or double-click a color swatch in the Libraries panel, or right-click a swatch and choose Set Color or Edit.
  6. Alternatively, drag a color swatch from the Libraries panel onto the selected object.

Expected result:
The selected shape or text should update to the Library color. "Set Color" and "Edit" should execute normally, and Library assets should be usable.

Actual result:
The Libraries panel displays all assets correctly, but all Library actions are non-functional. Clicking or double-clicking color swatches has no effect. "Set Color" and "Edit" do nothing. Drag-and-drop has no effect. The "+" button for adding Library assets is disabled. The Libraries panel appears to load correctly, but none of its commands execute.

Additional information:

  • Creative Cloud Libraries work correctly in Adobe Illustrator on the same computer and with the same Adobe account.
  • Creative Cloud is signed in and syncing normally.
  • Photoshop preferences were reset.
  • Photoshop was reinstalled (including removing preferences).
  • No third-party plugins are installed.
  • The issue persists after updating to Photoshop 27.8.0.
  • Rolling back to Photoshop 27.7 immediately restores full Creative Cloud Libraries functionality without any other changes.

    Hi @Arnon37974065dwsc,

Thanks for the detailed report. I tried reproducing this on my end with Photoshop 27.8 but wasn't able to reproduce the behavior, so I'd like to gather a bit more information to help investigate.

    Could you please share:

    • Your System Info: Help > System Info > Copy and paste it here while you're running Photoshop 27.8.

    • A screen recording showing the issue from launch through attempting to use the Libraries panel (clicking a swatch, using Set Color, Edit, drag-and-drop, etc.).

    • A share link to the Creative Cloud Library that's exhibiting the problem. When creating the link, please make sure "Anyone with the link can view and use" is selected.

This will help us determine whether the issue is specific to a particular library or something else in the environment.

    Best,
    Anshul Saini
