Photoshop 27.8 Remove Tool "Process on device" unavailable on Intel Core Ultra 7 270K Plus Arrow Lake (GPU ID 0x7D67)
I am unable to use the Remove Tool with "Process on device" enabled in Photoshop 27.8.0.
My system appears to meet the hardware requirements:
- CPU: Intel Core Ultra 7 270K Plus
- RAM: 64 GB
- GPU: Intel integrated graphics
- Intel AI Boost NPU detected correctly by Windows
- DirectX feature level: 12.2
- OpenCL: 3.0
- Intel graphics driver: 32.0.101.8864 (2026-07-17)
The issue appears to be related to GPU identification inside Photoshop.
Photoshop System Info reports:
GPUName:
Intel(R) Graphics
Identification:
Intel(R) Graphics UNKNOWN, INTEL
Sniffer output:
Device:
Intel(R) Graphics
Power Envelope:
UNKNOWN
Attachment:
UNKNOWN
D3D-ID:
32103 (0x7D67)
Windows identifies the hardware as:
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_7D67
The GPU works correctly for Photoshop acceleration:
- isGPUCapable = 1
- isGPUAllowed = 1
- IsNativeGPUCapable = 1
- IsOpenCLGPUCapable = 1
The local AI components are installed:
- OpenVINO Intel GPU plugin
- OpenVINO Intel NPU plugin
- ONNX Runtime
However, Remove Tool → Process on device is unavailable.
Could you please check whether Intel GPU device ID 0x7D67 is missing from Photoshop's hardware qualification database for local AI features?
I can provide DxDiag and Photoshop System Info logs if required.
