Photoshop CC wont open JPG fies

Hello! I wanted to edit a JPG file but photoshop just opens like no file is there (its black). I tried to open it in another editing software and there the file did open. Thus, I wanted to ask if somebody knows how to fix this.

There is no document open in that screenshot.

Post a screenshot of the image open, with the contents showing as black (or white, gray etc) and you will likely see the layer thumbnail correctly. If this is the case, then it may be a GPU/native canvas related issue.

@enibuwt there's nothing in the layers panel to indicate a file was opened, have you tried opening other jpegs to see if they open OK
