Photoshop is reversing the text direction when I set text to vertical

I have a list like this:
ABC

DEF

GHK

When I make it vertical I expect this:
A D G
B E H
C F K

I'm getting this:
G D A
H E B
K F C

I saw turning on middle eastern features fixed this in 2016 but it doesn't for me. Nor does changing the alignment manually under type. It's kind of useless like this tbh :(.

I did post it as a bug 🙂

Interesting, I can reproduce the issue.

I suspect it may be that due to the scarcity of vertical type setting in latin script multiline texts were not even considered.

But ultimately it seems like a bug so you could post a Bug Report (mark it »Bug« instead of »Discussion«).
