Photoshop not applying changes made in Camera Raw

I am opening CR3 files directly into the Photoshop 2024 Camera Raw Filter from archiving software (Fotostation) and applying changes (exposure, contrast etc), however when I click  'OK' to commit to changes and open the image in Photoshop, the changes are not applied.

If I then re-open the image from Photoshop in the Camera Raw filter by selecting 'Filter - Camera Raw Filter' and re-apply the changes, when clicking 'OK' the changes ARE applied.

I've uninstalled/reinstalled Photoshop with no change. Any ideas? Thanks.

Having the same issue as well with a Dell G7. Worked fine up until 2024 updates. I've had to go back to prior versions just so I don't go crazy. In one of the updates it seemed to have been fixed but then it stopped working again.

I'm having the same issue since the update to PS 2024, everything worked fine with the prior 2023 version. I'm currently running the most recent update (version 25.3.1) and it still doesn't work.

To get this out of the road and to set expectations... The Adobe Camera Raw plugin which opens the raw sensor data before Photoshop isn't (exactly) the same thing as the Camera Raw Filter which is only for rendered RGB data (not raw sensor data).

I am not familiar with FotoStation, you mention opening files directly from there and that it is archiving software... Perhaps that's part of the problem?

Is an .XMP sidecar file being created/updated with the same name as the .CR3 file in the same location?

Supported camera models here for ACR raw files (CR3 appears 24 times, but you didn't state the exact camera model):
