Remove tool leaving colored smudge with newest PS update (PS V 26.0)

With the newest PS update (26.0), the remove tool is leaving behind a colored smudge, either red or blue tinged.  I tried going to PS settings-->image processing and checking the "more stable" drop down under remove tool, restarting PS X3, and restarting my computer.  None of these tips have helped.  I am running Mac OS Sonoma 14.6.1.  I saw previous posts from last year, but that appeared to have been fixed and I have not seen any posts since the newest update.  Is this a known bug?  Any way to fix this?  I use the remove tool quite a bit, so itll change my workflow if I have to abandon it temporarily.  Thanks for any help!
