Remove Tool no longer working

After the latest update the Remove tool is no longer working for me. Even when I click on a tiny area on the same layer it results in a programm error. When I disable AI, it works but the results are terrible for larger areas.

I have already increase the available RAM to 12 GB, deleted the cache and the preferences, checked the GPU compatibility, switched the Remove toool to More Stable  and tried unchecking GPU. None these worked.

OS Windows 11 Photoshop 27.9.1 in German

      I’m also facing a similar issue with the Remove Tool after recent updates. It’s especially frustrating when it throws a program error even on a very small area. Since you’ve already tried the RAM, cache, preferences, GPU, and “More Stable” settings, it sounds more like a bug with the current version than something on your end. Hopefully Adobe can reproduce it and release a fix soon.
