The function of select object has bug on v27 comparing with v26

When I try to use the function “ Select > Subject” on v26, the software will select the object from the background on the image with out any issues.

however the exact same function does not work on v27 and pop up a warning saying on subject can be found no matter using the AI function or the basic one to achieve the same goal.

Is this a single layer document with a background layer?

Does the layer already have a layer mask?

Is it happening with all images even when just opened in Photoshop?

i tried on both single layer and those background layer it like you open the jpg file on directly.

it does not have any masking

is this just happen on my end??? How would you suggest me to demonstrate it?　like make a video for it?

Please let us know the version of Photoshop you're using, along with your computer's operating system. It would be helpful if you could share a video of the issue so that we can see what's happening.

I tried it on Photoshop 27.11 on macOS 27.0.1, and it's working as expected.
