thumbnails not showing when selecting a picture to open

After double checking, I noticed that the finder of macOS is not displaying the image thumbnails but generic icons, which might be the source of the problem in photoshop

If I understand the conversation above correctly, the image thumbnails are not appearing in the Open file window in Photoshop, while they appear correctly in Finder.

If that’s correct, could you please check whether you see the same behavior in the Save and Save As windows as well?

Please let us know what you observe. This will help us narrow down the issue.

What version of Photoshop and operating system? The File Open dialogue uses the operating system.

Is the lack of thumbnails all file types or just a specific type e.g. PSD/PSB ?

​@Phil D850 what exact version of Photoshop and operating system are you using, are you referring to JPEG images, PSD’s or something else
