Twain Treiber Twain_32.8BA funktioniert immer schlechter

Mein Twain Treiber funktioniert immer schlechter und scannt nur noch sehr selten. Meist öffnet sich nicht einmal das gewohnte Scan-Menü.
Stattdessen erhalte ich die Fahlermeldung "Kommunikation mit dem Scanner ist nicht möglich"
Hat jemand eine Idee, woran das liegen könnte?
Gibt es vielleicht einen moderneren Treiber als diesen Twain_32.8BA?

PS Ich nutze Photoshop CS5 und Windows 10

So Windows DID change something. 😖
I can scan my documents with the Windows Application but i need to shift it over to Photoshop afterwards.
It is a pity that Adobe does not offer a modern solution like they did with the Twain Driver.

The above link says:

Microsoft dropped TWAIN support in Windows 10 in the Anniversary update, there is no Windows 10 TWAIN driver
The workaround most people are using is to install a free scanning application, which will contain a default TWAIN Driver
