Unable to Open Large Files on Photoshop for iPad (English & Portuguese)

I’m trying to use Photoshop on my iPad Pro for the first time, and I can’t open a 1GB document. I keep getting the message: “Could not open ‘Presentation’ because the device does not have enough free space.” This doesn’t make sense, as I have 400GB of free space on my iPad Pro. I bought this iPad Pro specifically to work with large files, and it’s frustrating not to be able to open the document. Does anyone know what might be going on or if there’s a fix? This is unacceptable.

Estou tentando usar o Photoshop no meu iPad Pro pela primeira vez e não consigo abrir um documento de 1GB. Aparece a mensagem: “Não foi possível abrir ‘Apresentação’ porque o dispositivo não tem espaço livre.” Isso não faz sentido, já que tenho 400GB livres no meu iPad. Comprei esse iPad Pro exatamente para poder trabalhar com arquivos grandes, e é frustrante não conseguir nem abrir o documento. Alguém sabe o que pode estar acontecendo ou se existe alguma solução? Isso é um absurdo.

Hi Mohit,

 

I’m unable to upload the file to the Photoshop app to save it as a cloud document because it keeps saying there’s not enough space (even though it’s a 1GB file and my iPad has 400GB free). How can I save it to the cloud if I can’t even open it in the app?

Thanks for the update. Could you please try the smaller file like 200 MB and check if that works. If you are able to upload the smaller file than is it an issue with the trial version. Once you have the subscription it should open the 1 GB for you as well.

Thanks for the response. Yes, I’m currently using the trial version of the app. However, the link you provided isn’t opening; it gives me an error. Could you please send an alternative link or suggest another solution?

We're sorry for the trouble. Well, it shouldn't be happening, Photoshop on the iPad should be able to open a file with that size. Are you using a trial version of the app? Try and convert the into cloud document which will change the format from .psd to .psdc and should resolve this issue for you.
