26.3 unusable on MacOS 27 Dev Beta 3 (fine in Dev Beta 2)

Cannot add media to project in MacOS 27 Dev Beta 3. Crashes consistently. Pr 26.0.2 is fine:

Adding media to new or existing projects crashes every time. Can work with projects already created in earlier beta OS with 26.3. Uninstalled 26.3 and eventually found that 26.0.2 works as expected.

This issue should be addressed with macOS 27 Developer Beta 4 / Public Beta 2 (26A5388g). If you’ve been seeing crashes in Premiere please make sure to get the latest macOS Beta.

macOS v27 Dev4 appears to have fixed the crash on media import for Premiere (and FCPX)  for images and video  - audio was working OK … team will continue to run more tests..

Jeff H. - I can confirm this on both Dev build 3 and first v27 public beta . Did some additional testing with various options/codecs etc and created several internal crash logs and data dumps for our DVA engineers  - thanks for confirming this…

Looks like Apple is aware and fix expected in Dev 4

    Hi @jeffhalmos

Welcome back to the Premiere forums, glad you’re here. Thanks for including information about your issue, including the Premiere versions 26.3. It could be helpful to know the type of Mac you have and the Chip too.

I see you’re currently using a beta version MacOS. I’ve seen reports of issues with crashing on launch and more, as that is not currently supported in Premiere. It’s good to know 26.0.2 is supported in Golden Gate, thank you. I would treat it as a Beta environment while using Golden Gate Beta 3 (whether in v26.3 or beta of Premiere) and go back to Tahoe for more stability, otherwise until it’s shipped and supported.

Are you sending in any crash reports? You can submit the crash logs and DM us the email associated with Adobe sent in that report to pass along to our team, in the meantime.

    Thanks for your post,

    Amy
