Anyone else getting extreme lag when zooming in the timeline in latest version of premiere, 24.5?

Since updating premirere to latest version, I've been getting some major lag zooming in and out in timeline. This wasn't an issue before so I think it has something to do with the new UI that came with the update. Any solutions? I am running the latest version.
