AtomX GAL Toolkit Film Burn & Transitions Not Working in Premiere Pro 25

Hi everyone,

I’m having an issue with the AtomX GAL Toolkit in Premiere Pro versions 24.x and 25.x. The Film Burn effect and some transitions do not work properly and show “Media Pending.”

Here is what happens:

When I apply the Film Burn or certain transitions, Premiere shows “Media Pending” and the preview window freezes or stays black.
If I close and reopen Premiere Pro, the issue disappears and everything works normally.
So the bug only appears on the first launch, and restarting Premiere temporarily fixes it.

What I’ve tried:

Clearing cache
Turning GPU acceleration on/off
Reinstalling the plugin
Trying a new project and new sequence

None of these solutions fixed the issue permanently.

The same plugin works perfectly in Premiere Pro 22.x, so it seems to be a compatibility issue with the 24 and 25 versions.

My system:
Windows 11
GPU model RTX 4060Ti
Premiere Pro version 25.6

Is anyone else experiencing this problem or has a solution? Any help would be appreciated.

I also encountered these errors with the Premiere Gal Toolkit effects package. When I contacted Gal, they told me the following: delete the cache files folders in Application Data. Configure Windows to show hidden folders and files, go to User (your username) and Application Data > Roaming > Adobe > Common and delete the Media Cache and Media Cache Files folders. Do this with Premiere closed. Open it and test, and this will resolve the "pending media" error. As for the other error, Premiere Gal version 3.5 is not working correctly. If you are using Premiere 25.6, I suggest reverting to the previous version of Premiere and uninstalling Gal 3.5 and installing Premiere Gal 3.4, which works very well on version 25.5 and earlier.

I hope this helps anyone experiencing problems with this plugin.

The trial version works correctly here, both in official (25.6.3) release, and current beta.

Have you contacted Premiere Gal?

To where is the panel downloading your media? "Media Pending" suggests that the panel successfully downloaded some stuff, and tried to import it, but PPro is having problems accessing (or decompressing) the media.
