Audio is being relooped in Premiere when importing

Hi,

I have a base audio file and a video file. The audio file is completely fine and when manually comparing with the video file outside Premiere, everything is fine and synched.

But when I upload it to the timeline, for whatever reason, the audio is looped. As in, midway, it will loops back to the beginning within the same audio track, which is completely weird and abnormal.

Any help?

A regular MP3, plays fine outside of Premiere, yes like I already mentioned it's two separate files the video with its native audio + audio file recorded separately. That's never happened before at all. I'm on the latest version of course, that goes without saying. I'm on PC, Windows 10. I would rather not provide a file, but what I can tell you is that it works fine when it's not in Premiere. The file itself isn't corrupted.

Hi @yumiifmb,

Thanks for the message.  That definitely sounds strange.  Can you provide a bit more context?  What type of file is it?  Is the audio embedded in the video, or are they separate files?   Is it just this one file it's happening with, or is it all kinds?  What version of Premiere are you in?  What type of computer?  Would you be able to provide a problem file for us to test with?  I hope we can help you shortly.
