Audio Track Mixer - Write Mode not saving keyframes

When using the Audio Track Mixer and setting the automation to “write” mode, Premiere will not save adjustments or write any keyframes. It will not record volume fader adjustments or 5.1 panning adjustments. No keyframes are written. “Latch” mode however, works as intended.

Tested on a full lab of windows computers with varying NVidia graphics cards, mostly 2070s. All computers had the same failed result.

Welcome to the Premiere Forums. We could use a little more information to try and reproduce this issue in house. Could you please let us know the following?

Premiere Version: How to find the exact version of Premiere you're using.
Operating System: Specify Windows or macOS, along with the version.
GPU Driver (Windows only): Please let us know your video card driver version. We recommend updating to the most recent version; for NVIDIA users, we strongly recommend the Studio version of the driver.

I’m also wondering which keyframes your tracks are displaying. Are you looking at the Track Volume Keyframes or the Clip Volume Keyframes?

Menu accessible by clicking on the keyframe icon to the left of the Keyframes navigation icons on the audio track. You may have to expand the Audio track to view them.

This defaults to Clip keyframes which will only show keyframes written to the specific clip on the specific track and can be written using the Audio Clip Mixer instead of the Audio Track Mixer.

Using the current version of Premiere: 26.3.2

Windows 11 Pro

Current Nvidia Studio Driver 616.92 (released today, but also tried previous driver version)

I am indeed looking at track key frames.

The issue is unique only to using the Audio Track Mixer to create keyframes when in “Write” mode. Keyframes can be created when using Latch, Touch, or manually in the timeline. Write mode will not generate any track keyframes of any kind, volume, panning, etc. It appears to be a bug unless there’s been a change made from the way I’ve been teaching it for the last 15 years.

Caused a bit of a problem today when instructing my students on 5.1 audio mapping, but realized we could work in latch mode for the first initial pass and proceed from there as normal.

Thank you @Matt-Taylor and apologies for the inconvenience. I did some digging and am at least happy to let you know it was a bug introduced in 26.3 and that the fix will be in the 26.5 Release.

This should be available by tomorrow. Feel free to test the current Premiere Beta. The Workaround was using Touch Mode.

Please let me know if there are any more issues with this functionality after upgrading.
