Issue:

Adobe Premiere Pro fails to apply audio transitions using the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Shift+D. Adding transitions via handles also doesn't work. Attempting to adjust volume with keyframes breaks the UI, hiding the mouse pointer. Also attaching a screen recording for your reference.
- Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Adobe Premiere Pro and create a new project.
2. Add two clips to the timeline (make sure you have enogugh frames for the transiton to apply).
3. Try applying an audio transition using Ctrl+Shift+D.
4. Attempt to add a transition using the transition handles.
5. Add two keyframes on the first clip and try lowering the volume with the second keyframe.

Expected Result: Audio transitions should apply correctly, and UI should remain functional.
Actual Result: Transitions don't apply, and UI breaks when adjusting volume with keyframes.

- Tests done:

1. Reset App Preferences

2. Cleared media cache files

3. Reset plugin loading cache

NB: There is no porblem for adding and controlling audios with keyframes unless first fails with the default audio transition shortcut.

System Details
- Adobe Premiere Pro Version: 25.2.3 (build 4)
- Operating System: Windows 11 (24H2)
- GPU: RTX 2060
- GPU Driver Version: Studio driver v576.52

Hi @jamieclarke, I think I've found a workaround that works for now. I'm using a software called Portmaster to block unwanted traffic between my PC and the internet. By default, I've set it to ask for permission for all connections. I granted access to Adobe-related connections, but noticed that whenever I apply a transition or use Alt+Space (for Excalibur), a "Network noise" prompt would appear in Portmaster, asking for network access. I gave it permission, and so far, it's working. I'm still testing to confirm if this resolves the issue, but it's looking promising.

Hi @Amal MP - I would start by uninstalling your panels and plugins then see if you are still having the same issue.

Hi, @jamieclarke,  thanks for the reply. I do have third-party plugins and panels installed, including Excalibur. Yes, the 50fps is intentional. I do reset with Shift click on Premiere Pro icon

Hi @Amal MP - Do you have any third party plugins or panels installed?  How are you resetting your preferences?  I have received your media, but am unable to reproduce your issue.  When you crash do you receive a crash dialog box?  I did notice that you have a 50FPS clip in a 30FPS timeline is that intentional?

@jamieclarke Is there a permanent solution or reset preference option for Premiere Pro that I can apply once and forget about it for good? I'm frustrated because every time I want to apply a transition, I have to close the project and reset the preferences on the next startup. This is really annoying! The recent crash is the final straw - basic things aren't working properly, and I'm feeling completely abandoned with these crashes and bugs. No support seems available for the issues I'm facing. It's making me consider switching to another NLE.

Hi @jamieclarke , thanks for the reply. I think this issue started with Premiere Pro version 25.2.0 (build 147). I'll send you the project file and media later.

Hi @Amal MP -
Sorry you’re dealing with this we know how disruptive these kinds of issues can be.
Do you remember if this started in the latest version, or has it happened before?
Can you send the project and media to jamiec@adobe.com so that we can investigate?
