Audio Waveform gone every time i try importing a new track

I searched and searched and every solution i found was only temporary, and i am getting so. unbelievably. sick. of. it. every time i import a new audiotrack (.wav) into my project and try to use it on my timeline i get no waveform. the track works, audio works, but it just wont show me the waveform. i did all the usual suspects, "show waveform" ,"generate waveform", deleting cache usually does the trick but only when i delete - close programm - reopen, that just cant be the solution, i tried updating to the newest version, i tried deleting peakfiles from appdata, i tried mp3 tracks, i tried over rightclick -> import instead of drag and drop and im really getting sick of it happening over and over again, does anyone has a solid, longterm solution to this? i dont want to delete my cache every 5 minutes.

Hi @Viktor24342215oqmu,

Thanks for the message.  I'm sorry you're having such a frustrating time.  It sounds like you've tried a lot of good troubleshooting ideas.  Did Bob's suggestion help?  Can you tell me which version of Premiere you're using and what type of computer you're on?  How are you importing the audio?  Are you able to create a screen recording of the problem?  I hope we can help you soon.
