Premiere Pro 26.0.0 (Build 72)
MacBook Pro M1 Max/Sequoia 15.7.3

Since updating, auto save is no longer a background process, and interrupts editing with the auto save dialogue.

Any help would be appreciated.

    • Issue – Auto save is no longer a background process, and interrupts editing with the auto save dialogue.
    • Steps to reproduce – It happens at regular intervals while a project is being worked on. It is not triggered by specific actions.
    • Expected result – Auto save should occur in the background.
    • Actual result – Autosave opened the auto save dialogue, interrupting editing.
    • Screen recording – NA
    • Adobe Premiere Pro version – Premiere Pro 26.0.0 (Build 72)
    • Operating system – macOS Sequoia 15.7.3
    • Video format – NA
    • Comparative information helps us understand more about when the issue occurs:
      • Does it affect all projects or only some projects? Having tested, appears to affect only once project.
      • Does it affect new projects? - Unclear.
      • When did the problem begin? - On update to PP 2026

    Hi @EuanP
Thank you for taking the time to report a problem. It would help us if you could use the link " How to Report a Problem," which provides steps to provide more information that can help us identify the issue. If you could also share a screengrab or let us know the settings for Local Projects and Team Projects by going to the menu (Premiere/settings/preferences/Auto Save), that would be much appreciated.

    Here to help.
