Auto-transcription often does not work

Hi, I find that the Auto-transcribe function often is not working at all - the Transcript bin will be blank even after Transcribing the source audio. And then when I go back to the source audio in the Project window and right click, the only option is (Re)Transcribe.

I am using Premiere version 25.2.3 on a 2024 Macbook Pro, OS Sequoia 15.4.1.

The clips I need transcribed are Multicams. I open one in the Timeline, then Reveal the audio file in the Project. I right click > Transcribe. I have the Text / Transcript window open, but nothing happens. After a few minutes, I try again, and now when I right click that audio file, the only option is (Re)Transcribe. But the Text window is still blank. If it's funcitoning correctly, when I click Transcribe, the window will open up asking if I want to have Multiple Speakers. But that doesn't happen.

This bug is not happening all the time... it's about 30% of the time I try to get my footage transcribed. Wondering if there is a solve.

Any ideas on how to fix this? It's really messing up my workflow that the Transcript tool isn't working

@Christina27152685lv9w thank you for the good description and the screen recording – it's so helpful.

Are both the source WAV files and the multicam clip in the same Reel 4 project in the Production?

To add more information - it seems that the source audio IS getting transcribed, but then it is not showing up on the Multicams. Here's a video showing the issue https://f.io/Fl9DtV4j
