Bug - timeline or source clips won't play

Premiere v 25.6.4

MacOS Ventura 13.7.8

When opening a Team Project, timeline or source clips won't play from keyboard or window play buttons. Media is all loaded.

I've found the solution is to change my Workspace from a User one to one of the default, everything plays. When I go back to a user workspace everything plays fine as well.

Hi @MJedit, thank you for trying that out! So it works fine when opening in any default workspace? Wondering if it could be specific to the user workspace. If you are able to, can you create a new user/custom workspace, and see if it works then?

Any chance you are using third-party panels?

@Dani_V. Same problem when opening project today, on any edits I selected. But this time chamging to default workspace made no difference. Restarted project opening in default workspace and everything played just fine

Hi Dani. Not sure I can answer that specifically. It's happened a couple of times and I'm working on two Team Projects at the moment, I think it's happened on both but I can't be sure. I'll keep my eye on it.

Does a project open back up in the last workspace you used? If so I'll test that theory too.

Hi @MJedit

Thank you for reporting a problem and sorry you're experiencing issues.

Is this happening only on one specific Team project, or other Team projects and/or regular projects as well?

If you open a Team project with a default workspace already selected (instead of a User workspace), does the behavior persist, or is it only when a user/custom workspace is the selected one on project open?

Sorry for the frustration,
Dani
