Can't open prodset file from explorer and last opened projects/sequences will not open automatically

# Issue
When I try to open a production, only Premiere will open but not the production. It will only open when I go to “File > Open Production… > Select the last production (or search for the folder with the prodset file).

Furthermore the projects and sequences that were opened before closing will not re-open when opening the production.
I have the same problem regarding re-opening of recent sequences with normal projects (prproj).

The setting for restoring opened sequences on start is checked.

# Steps to reproduce
I open a number of sequences (and projects in case of productions).

I close Premiere after saving.

I open the project or production.

# Expected result
The sequences and projects that were open on last save should be already opened.

# Actual result
Either a random set of sequences will open (in case of projects) or nothing will open at all (productions).

In case of projects, sometimes it works as expected but most of the it won’t. I tried if it makes a difference if source sequences are active when closing but it wasn’t very conclusive. The problem also occurs when no source sequence is active in the timeline or the source monitor.

What you should file isn’t a bug report … but an Idea request. I’d certainly upvote it.

I simply launch Premiere, and as nearly all my workflow is in the main production I have, use the pop-up ‘recent’ list to select any project from the Production, which opens that production.

It is frustrating that it sometimes doesn’t open just as it was when last I closed. But the production is open, and I can simply navigate to the projects I want sequences from.

Sure, I can also open it from the recent list instead of the “open production...” command but it still won’t open the last state of the production which in comparison to Avid is a huge step back (I just compare it because it works basically the same with bins there).

Just imagine the situation when you work in multiple sequences across multiple projects and after opening the production the first step is not only to open sequences like in projects but first open the projects, then all the sequences… it’s just a waste of time if you have to do this over and over again. I’m not sure if this is a feature they completely missed out (because on my end, the productions always open with everything closed) or if this is meant to work the same as in projects… but actually doesn’t... as in projects.
