CC Library Color Picker not working properly in Premiere Pro 25.x
In Premiere Pro version 25.0 and later, the color picker fails to accurately retrieve colors from the CC Library swatches. When selecting a color from the Library inside the "Properties" or "Essential Graphics" panels, the selected color either doesn’t apply or returns the wrong value—sometimes even black (#000000).
For example, picking a swatch of #FFF100 from the CC Library results in #FCF050, which is noticeably incorrect.
This issue does not occur in Premiere Pro 24.x, and other Adobe apps (like Photoshop and Illustrator) work correctly with the same Library swatches.
We have tested this across 5 identical iMacs in our workplace, and the issue occurs on all of them, consistently.
All devices are using the default "iMac" display color profile.
Here are the details of one of the systems:
-
Device: iMac19,1
-
Processor: Intel Core i5, 6-core, 3.7GHz
-
RAM: 32GB
-
OS: macOS
-
Display: Single screen (iMac built-in display)
-
Color Profile: iMac (default)
As a temporary workaround, we are copying HEX codes from the CC Library and manually pasting them into color fields within Premiere Pro, but this is not ideal for an efficient workflow.
Please prioritize a fix for this issue in a future update. Thank you.
