Compound Blur broken in Pr 26.0.1

I’ve just tried to apply the ex-FilmImpact video effect Compound blur on a stock footage and I get insanely slow performance with it in Premiere 26.0.1. So I went to Pr 25.6.4 and checked it there and there the effect works in real time.

Steps to reproduce:

Start Premiere Pro, create a project, add this file to the timeline (to create a file-based sequence): https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Iv7JTDJmq2aum7is0jWlxBU8evZh9jO_/view?usp=sharing
Drop the Compound blur effect and press play.

The playback won’t work at all or your footage will be played at 1-2 fps.

Tested it like a dozen times in 26.0.2 and could not reproduce it. So the issue might have been fixed.

Stop trying to edit and EDIT!

Hi @AndrewTheGreat,

I wasn’t able to reproduce this. I used your clip in 26.0.1 and had no issues playing it back. I’m curious where most of your effects are. You seem to be missing a lot. Did you delete them/ move them?
