Error waiting for accelerated frame to be rendered, timed out” – Premiere Pro v26 (RTX 3060, Studio Driver)

Hello,

I encountered the following warning in Premiere Pro v26:

“Error waiting for accelerated frame to be rendered, timed out.”

System specs:

Intel i7-14700

RTX 3060 12GB (Studio Driver)

32GB RAM

CUDA enabled

Windows 11

Details:

1080p 60fps timeline

Warp Stabilizer was applied to a clip

Warp was later deleted

Only simple PNG verse graphics on timeline (no Lumetri, no HSL, no Sharpen)

Premiere did not crash

Playback continued normally

After restart, issue did not reappear

It seems like a brief GPU timeout rather than a hardware instability.

Has anyone observed this behavior in v26, especially related to Warp Stabilizer + CUDA?

Thank you.

    Hi @Abheesh

Welcome to the forums.  Thanks for your detailed report.  I’m glad that a simple restart seemed to resolve the issue, although you are correct, it is often GPU-related.  Are you in Software rendering mode?  Have you checked for driver updates?  Let us know if it happens again.

    Hello,
    Thank you for the response.
    I am currently using:
Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration (CUDA)
Latest NVIDIA Studio Driver (RTX 3060)
The issue occurred once after removing Warp Stabilizer from a clip. Premiere did not crash, and after restarting, the warning did not reappear.
I will monitor the behavior and report back if it happens again.
    Thanks again.
