Essential Sound Enhance Speech Dialogue tool hallucinations

I've been using the Enhance Speech feature for a few months, and recently (within the last two weeks or so) it's begun to hallucinate voices during gaps in speech, where there should just be a low background hum from outside noise. It's nonsense, just various words being mumbled. I've tried adjusting the slider but it's still happening even with the mix amount at 2. This is making the tool unusable for me, cutting every single quiet moment to set a different sound type would take forever. My filming setup hasn't changed, same microphone being used each time.

I'm on version 24.5.0 build 57.
