Export Times Taking WAAAY Longer Than Usual

Hello,

I am having exporting/encoding trouble as of late. My exports are taking WAY longer than usual. I'm talking 20+ hours for videos that prior to the last couple weeks would have taken no longer than 3-4 hours. (I have exported over 400 videos and haven't changed anything).

I have noticed that I have been getting a pop up while editing stating to "check storage, unable to read audio" the audio cuts out for maybe a second and then no other problem. I have 200+ storage on C drive available and 300+ available on E drive. I have 64 gb 3600 RAM and intel i9 9900k CPU as well as Nvidia RTX 2080 Ti.

while exporting my memory is at 32% and cpu around 30% ( CPU goes up to 100% in the beginning). As I've stated above, this is not normal for me, even when exporting shorter files (about 20 seconds) it's taking multiple minutes versus the 10-20 seconds that it was previously taking to complete export.

im extremely frustrated and am looking for help. Thank you.

@tr_3924 I'm wondering if you're exporting to H.264 or H.265 (HEVC) and something about your settings is different such that Hardware Accelerated Encoding is not being activated. That feature uses the dedicated hardware in your CPU or GPU to encode those formats, and it can make a night and day difference in export times.

When you go to Export Mode, in the bottom right you will see a summary of the export settings. In the Video section, does it say "Hardware Encoding" or "Software Encoding"?

If it says "Software Encoding" that would explain the difference. It means something about your export settings changed (frame size maybe) and there isn't hardware encoding availability for those settings. Try starting over from one of the built-in presets like "Match Source - Adaptive Bitrate" and see if that enables Hardware Encoding.
