Exporting Prores 4444 via Media Encoder outputs black frames - Mac Tahoe

Mac Studio M2 Ultra - Premiere Pro 2026.3 .0 (build93) Tahoe 26.5.1

When exporting timeline from Premiere Pro in Prores 4444 (no sound) and send it to Media Encoder the resulting file is black frames.

If I export the same setup but directly from Premieres export window it turns out correct.

I am exporting to local desktop

Media Encoder 26.2.2 (build3).

Thank you - did not try resetting Media Encoder - and that helped. Thanks :-)

    Hi @morten_corfitz_8838,

Welcome back to the Premiere forums. Sorry to hear about this export issue with Media Encoder. We appreciate all this information. The team tried to reproduce the issue, however everything worked properly.

To assist you further, could you please provide additional details?

    • Did you try resetting Premiere and/or Media Encoder preferences? (Hold shift on launch)
    • What is the codec, resolution, frame rate of the footage you’re working with?
      • Any mixed media (mixed specs) on the timeline?
    • Are there graphics on the timeline?
      • Do the  that overlay the footage?
    • Is the timeline fully rendered before exporting to Media Encoder?
    • Do other codecs export properly when they are sent to Media Encoder?
    • Would it possible to share a screen record of your workflow and the result?
    • Does it affect all projects or only some?
    • Does it affect new, empty projects?
    • When did the problem first begin?

Also here are helpful links about Premiere 26.3:

The team hopes we can help you soon!

    Best,

    Jonathan
