Fonts won't load unless Creative Cloud desktop is open

ONLY if I open Creative Cloud first and keep it running, and then open Premiere Pro, will Adobe fonts load correctly in Premiere Pro.

Premiere Pro 24.3.0 (build 59)

Processor: 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-13900K, 3000 Mhz, 24 Core(s), 32 Logical Processor(s)

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090

Installed Physical Memory (RAM) 64.0 GB 3400MHz

Internal SSD: addlink M.2 PCIE G3x4 NVMe 1TB

Project SSD: Samsung SSD 980 PRO 2TB

Microsoft Windows 11 Pro

1) Open Premiere Pro

2) Fonts have not loaded and instead defaulted to a random font.

3) If I quit Premiere Pro and open again, the issue is persisting.

Work Around

4) Close Premiere Pro

5) Open Creative Cloud Desktop

6) Re-open Premiere Pro.

The font now have loaded correctly.

So Adobe synced fonts only load with Creative Cloud running.

Hi Kevin,

This issue has been around for several updates over months now, still no fix with v25.3?

Hello @Turnbill Photos,

Can you see if the situation is improved with v. 24.6. Ensure that the media cache is deleted. Press Shift at launch for the Reset Options dialog box. That's the best way to delete the cache. I hope it works for you.

Thanks,
Kevin

Hi @skydog_3487,

Thanks for the note. Can you please try the latest version of Premiere Pro to see if the bug is fixed? You can install them side-by-side. Ensure your Creative Cloud preferences are set correctly, as the default may have changed recently. Let the community know if the issue is solved using the current version. If not, you can also install and run Premiere Pro Beta to see if any bugs are fixed. Sorry for the frustration on this.

Cheers,
Kevin

Hi @michaeld82340534,

I'm Kevin from support. I'm one of the moderators here. Thanks for the bug report and the information you gave. Unfortunately, I could not reproduce the issue.

While we wait for a response from developers, we can try to troubleshoot.

  • Try creating a new project and see if the behavior is the same.
  • Try updating Adobe Premiere Pro.

Let the community know if either of these things worked for you. More information about your media, your workflow, and the fonts you are using might help the team. Supplying devs with a copy of your project file would also help.

I hope we can assist you in solving this issue ASAP. I am sorry for the frustration on this bug.

Thanks!
Kevin
