Getting unexpected error alerts and shutdowns when using BlackMagic RAW files in Premiere

Hi guys, wondering if anyone can help me out.

So I use a Apple MacBook Pro M3 laptop with the lastest software updates for my laptop and Premiere. I'm in film school and now I'm doing editing for a student documentary film group project using BlackMagic video files (BRAW). I have no problem importing, storing and playing the files its just that suddenly I get a pop up message saying "Sorry, an unexpected error occured". I go to get a report on why it happens but I can't get that but when I click okay on the pop up it closes the project which could be very costly for me even though I short cut save after every little thing I do.

Is there anyone who can help with this? I would really appreciate any help I can get. Thanks.

Are you using the freebie BlackMagic RAW plug-in or the one from Autokroma?

I had constant problems with the BlackMagic one, had to uninstall and install the lastest over and over and over ad infinitum. Tried the Autokroma plugin, it had more options (including presets!) and it simply worked.

Also, the Autokroma site gives better help for the BM freebie than BlackMagic does, so you might check there just to see if they can fix your current ills.

Autokroma has a freebie and their paid plugin, so you can try those also.

Everyone's mileage always varies ...
