GPU Rendering Error when using Replace with After Effects Composition

Product: Premiere Pro and After Effects
Versions: Premiere Pro 24.0 / 25.5, After Effects 24.0 / 25.5
System: Windows 11, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti, Ryzen 5 5600, 32 GB RAM

Issue:
After using "Replace with After Effects Composition" everything works for 5 to 10 minutes. When switching from After Effects back to Premiere Pro the preview turns black for about 1 minute. Then After Effects shows a GPU rendering error. Both apps must be restarted to continue.

This happens with NVIDIA drivers 537.58 and 581.xx. No issue with driver 511.09. Tested with CUDA and Software Only. The problem occurs mostly when Premiere Pro and After Effects are linked, but it can also rarely happen in After Effects alone.

I tried both the Studio and Game Ready versions of the driver — the error appears everywhere.

Hi @lil_1810

Thanks for reporting a problem, is this happening with the studio version (not Game Ready) of the drivers and the most recent?

Sorry for the frustration,
Dani
