HLG Conversion with Auto Tone Mapping and newer Sony Cams

I recently noticed something weird when I bought my Sony Z200. Coming from Alphas and also Z90 I was used to Premiere converting the HLG footage quite well, it was contrasty, saturated and punchy without any adjustments.

Well….that changed not with my Z200 and I am asking myself why this is? The Picture still looks dull, flat and desaturated any ideas what's the issue here?

Hi @gianniw27226249
I have downloaded your example files to share with the team. We will review the files and see if we can come up with some ideas about the issue. If you can, I have some other questions for you that will be helpful while I have the team look at your camera files.
Please provide or answer any of the details below.

  • Screen Recording: If possible, include a Screenshot or record the issue.
  • Premiere Version: How to find the exact version of Premiere you're using.
  • Operating System: Specify Windows or macOS, along with the version.
  • GPU Driver (Windows only): Please let us know your video card driver version. We recommend updating to the latest version; for NVIDIA users, we strongly recommend the Studio driver.

  • Here to help.
