I can no longer drag layers, change numerical values, or trim a layer.

It's becoming impossible to edit.

It freezes up constantly, and the audio also cuts in and out. It might randomly start working again, but only for 1 click, then it won’t allow you to move or change anything.

Version: Premiere Pro version: 26.3

Chip: MacBook M5 Max

macOS: Tahoe Version 26.4

Memory: 128GB

Becoming more and more concerned with Adobe. This has been reported several times with 0 help.

Many others are experiencing the same thing.

Hello I am using the same specs as Jordan aside from a couple small differences. I have been having the same issue since i updated last week. Along with After Effects. If I am able to drag on to the timeline it is delayed and has been changing the video colouring. With no effects. I have tried multiple different sequences in my project with the same issue.

    Version: Premiere Pro version: 26.3

    Windows 11 Pro

    Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-14900K (3.19 GHz)

    RAM : 128 GB

    Graphics Card: 16GB

    NVIDIA Studio Driver v: 610.62

Everytime I update I have new issues and problems. Program crashing without warning.

Currently trying to just do 2 pictures for 0:30secs slow zoom and it was freezing.

    Hi @AHARTE

Thank you for your reply and letting us know similar occurrences are happening. Can you confirm if you’re using MFX footage as well?

If you were not having issues prior to update, the team suggests to roll back a version so you can continue working.

    Sorry for the frustration.

    Best,

    Jonathan

    Hi @Jordan Martin01,

Thank you for providing these additional details! Given that you’re working with MXF files at 3840 x 2160, were proxies created for this footage?

If not the team suggests creating proxies to see if that helps performance in Premiere.

Please find links for a Proxy workflow:

Furthermore, if you have 3rd-applications installed, that might affect performance in Premiere. As a test, please uninstall those applications, then test Premiere to see if dragging issues persist. This will help us determine possibilities and causes for the issues you're experiencing.

    Best,

    Jonathan
