Import only pulls in audio

I have been using 4k Downloader for years to extract video from Youtube. Recently, when I pull these videos into Premiere, It pulls in only Audio. I can run it through Handbrake which fixes the problem but requires an extra step in my workflow. I have installed a number of codecs and watched some videos, followed some suggestions but nothig seems to fix the problem.

    Thanks for reaching out. As Ann and Averdahl mention, this is most likely a codec issue with the files generated by 4K Downloader, since YouTube has been shifting more content to AV1 encoding, which Premiere does not currently support, so only the audio track comes through. Converting via Handbrake first is the right approach for now.

    Premiere does not support YT codec (AV1)

    Need to convert.

    This happen when the codec for the video is missing. You can use MediaInfo to see the codec used in the file you are trying to import. Open it in MediaInfo and go to View and choose Tree to get all details you need.
