Interface (timeline section mainly) lags problem

Hi.

About two weeks ago I turned on PremierePro for the first time in a good few years and at first there were no problems; recently I saw small lag in timeline section window, but after restarting the program it was ok again; and now it doesn't matter how many times I turn it on, the problem remains.

I noticed lag in the window where the timeline is. When I click on any element, cut it, move it, etc., although, for example, in the window with"Effect Control" it appears for editing, in the one with the timeline I have to click on a different time to see the change or highlighting of the selected element. I release the preview, everything goes smoothly, but the timeline stands still. Today, not all the windows appeared immediately either. "The Source, Media Browser and Effects" section popped up only when I clicked anything on the main bar. If it matters, I also noticed that the side drop-down lists from the main bar open only after clicking, not hovering over it.

The program is in version 24.6.1. In general, I updated the graphics card drivers (with the option of better optimization for such programs instead of the game), I deleted some old caches and gave the option to automatically delete them, increased the memory usage limit (12 from 16GB) and increased the free space on the disk, and still nothing helped.

PrPro is primarily a video app, right? You're using two other formats ... image files, and mp3 audio, that Pr can work with but can also cause issues.

I'd suggest converting the mp3 to wav, as that is a no-loss conversion and works better in Prmiere.

Next ... what are the pixel dimensions of those images? Too large an image size of still images can be problematic. So ... how big a 'frame' are those stills?

Windows 10, AMD Ryzen 7 3750H, 16GB Ram, NVidia GeForce GTX 1660 Ti.
All used media are on the main internal drive. Mostly they are JPG photos and MP3 files to create simple reels from my travels. Sequence is 2160x3840, 29,97fps.

I reinstalled the program twice and rolled back from version 24.6.1 to 24.6, but it didn't help. I created a new project with the same settings (the old one was still in one of the sections) and everything started working. I made two reels (no problems), but now when I make a third one the situation repeats and I don't know why.

We'd need information from you first. The basic requirements: OS/CPU/RAM/GPU/GPU driver number. Also the media type in use, created by what, with framesize/rate, any effects used, and what types of drives your media and project live on, and how they are attached, internal or external.
