Invalid Type Conversion when using Stacked Panel Groups

Issue: I receive error “Invalid type conversion” any time I change a panel’s group settings to stacked. If stacked group panels have been saved as part of a custom workspace layout, some panels display a name of “UXP Panel #” rather than the panel’s name upon opening the project (the panel name does correct itself once actively selected).

Steps to Reproduce: Toggle on “Stacked Panel Group” in the panel group settings of any panel to receive error message. Open project with stacked panel groups active to see the “UXP Panel #” name for some panels.

Premiere Version: 26.3.0 (Build 93)

Operating System: macOS, Tahoe 26.5.1

    Hi @lando_edits

Welcome to the Premiere forums. Thank you for your bug report. I could use a little more information to try and understand the issue. I’m looking for a pattern with the panels that become “UXP Panel #” as this can help us narrow down the source of this error. Are any of them panels from 3rd party plugins or custom panels or does it appear random?

We would also appreciate information regarding your Chip for your Mac and is it an iMac? Mac Mini? M4 Max or Ultra? M5? etc

    Thank you,

    Amy

Thank you, @Amy the Stuv. The panels affected with the “UXP Panel #” are native, with the Text and Adobe Stock panels appearing to be affected most frequently. Although I didn’t mention in my original post, I also am unable to Edit Guides with a specific pixel value or percentage, which I have seen others mention in recent posts.

I’m experiencing the same issues on two different computers:

    • Mac Studio with M1 Max chip; macOS Tahoe 26.5.1
    • MacBook Pro with M2 Pro chip; macOS Tahoe 26.5

    Thank you
