Issues with Sonible pure VST

When I open the Sonible pure VST plugin in Premiere Pro, it initially works as expected. However, after closing and reopening the plugin window, it appears completely blank and no longer allows me to adjust any settings. Has anyone experienced this issue or found a solution?

Hi, and thank you for your questions and feedback.

I haven't contacted Sonible yet because the plugin works perfectly fine in Adobe Audition. I've only been using it for about a month, and I haven't updated Premiere Pro during that time.

I'm running Windows 11 with NVIDIA Studio Driver 610.47 and a GeForce RTX 3050 GPU.

My Premiere Pro project contains multiple sequences, and the issue occurs in every single one of them. The plugin itself continues to work. When I double-click the plugin, its VST interface opens normally, and I can adjust all settings without any issues. However, once I close the plugin window, or it gets closed automatically when switching sequences, the interface is completely blank the next time I open it. The plugin window still opens, but none of the controls are visible anymore. This is quite frustrating.

To regain access to the plugin's interface, I have to remove it from the effects section of the Audio Track Mixer and then add it again. This brings the interface back, but unfortunately, all settings are reset to their defaults.

I'm using Premiere Pro version 26.5.2.

@falko_5903 Thanks, that helps narrow it down some. I would reach out to Sonible for support, and I’ll keep this post open so you can let us know if they find a Premiere interference or if it’s within their interface. It sounds like Premiere’s loading it, and that it does work with a temp workaround of restarting Premiere to get it back again.

    Thanks for the update!
    Katie

I tried a couple of the Sonible pure VST plugins with Premiere 26.5.2 on Mac OS 26.5, and I didn’t see any issues.

Have you contacted Sonible? Their support is pretty good.

    Hi @falko_5903

Thanks for stopping by the Premiere forums and letting us know about your Sonible VST issue with Premiere. We may have run across a similar issue, but first would like to get some more details about which Premiere and what setup you’re on to better troubleshoot.

Also, have you tried reaching out to Sonible plugin devs about this as well?

    • Premiere Version: What is the exact Premiere version and build you’re using? Help > About Premiere or Premiere > About Premiere.
    • Setup/OS: Please specify Windows 11/10 or Mac, plus what macOS, along with driver version/build.
      • GPU Driver version/build(Windows only): We recommend updating to the most recent version; for NVIDIA users, we strongly recommend the Studio version of the driver.
      • Mac Chip (Mac Only): what M-series chip? If Intel, please include GPU.
    • Media Files: video, images, etc. and what types (can check under Media Properties)
    • Media Storage: Are your Scratch Disks set to your Documents folder or the same as project, and is this the same as the Media drive?

Also, if you could please let us know the following, this is also helpful to know:

    • Does it affect all projects or only some? What about new projects with a few sample clips?
    • Do you recall which Premiere this was last working in, and what might have changed? Any other plugins, update to computer, etc.

Maybe a short screen recording could also be helpful to see what exactly is happening.

    We hope to help!
    Katie
