linked proxy have just first audio channel with audio, while proxy files have multiple channels (I checked by importing them to new project))

Thanks for stopping by the Premiere forums and including that information and screenshots about your proxy audio channel and ingest issue.

To address the ingest setting message, that just means the project contained an ingest setting pointing to a specific .epr preset file that is not available at that path on this current computer. This can happen when, like in this case, the project was opened on a different computer from someone else or even when the project was moved between macOS and Windows.

You either need to select a valid local preset or accept the dialog’s option to reset the settings. Premiere’s ingest settings control what happens to any future imported media when ingest is enabled, so they usually won’t remap the audio channels of an already attached proxy.

And speaking of audio channels, Adobe’s proxy workflow requires the proxy and source full resolution media to have matching audio channelization. Are you sure these both match?

The relevant properties are not only the total number of channels, but also the channel layout, for example:

• Mono versus Adaptive
• Stereo versus separate mono channels
• 5.1 versus discrete channels
• Channel count
• Channel order and mapping

A proxy can import correctly as an independent clip while behaving differently after attachment.

Take a look at your source vs. proxy audio channels and let us know. You might need to right click Modify from project panel on these files.
