Locked audio tracks produce bugged AAFs/OMFs
Not sure which version this started on, but is definitely present on 25.4.0.
We've been exporting AAFs and OMFs to our sound engineers for many years now, but this one is certainly a head scratcher..
We are working inside a fairly large Premiere Production, I'm not sure if this happens only in Production environment but I've done enough testing that I can consistently reproduce it. We typically have 3 track layout, A1 has host audio (a roll), and A2 and A3 have broll audio. Nothing fancy.
After exporting AAF, Pro Tools and Audition would import 4 tracks instead of 3 with all sorts of anomalies, duplicate audio, missing audio, cross fades turning into end and start fade outs etc...
I've tried every imaginable setting on the AAF export dialogue, but what ultimately solved this entire issue was UNLOCKING all of the tracks prior to AAF export... (We always lock our tracks after we lock picture so nothing gets accidentally bumped).
Incredible that such small thing can de-rail the entire AAF output.
Btw, no plugins or special transitions are being used, we've succesfully exported 100's of AAFs this way, with essentially same exact projects. This is clearly a bug in the current version of Premiere.
